Posco project will displace 252 families

A mere 252 families will be displaced in the process of land acquisition by the South Korean company Posco, which will set up its mega Steel plant near Paradip.

While the company requires 4004. 25 acre land for its plant, the State Government will provide 3566.25 only. The rest 473.690 acre land will be acquired from private parties. It is understood that the State Government will hand over the land very soon.

This came to light in a review meeting convened by the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday.
